Walk Around Nantucket- August 2008

I have been walking my Jack Russell Terrier, Ginger, on the beach in Sconset all summer and soaking in the water, waves, light, tides and birds. During the Rock Run (first Saturday of August), I watched the relay runners who would run around the island and I got the idea to explore Nantucket by hiking around it...about 50 miles. I so love exploring Nantucket, and although there are many beaches I have visited many times, there are also spots I've never been. I also liked the idea of seeing how the different parts of the island relate to each other. So, thanks to my trusty husband, Josh "Pickupandropoff" Posner, I have embarked on the adventure.
